    Hi everyone,

Have finally got round to signing up to Dooyoo! Haven't posted anything yet but have signed up so 1 step closer :o Just have to get my head round how it works now. My username on there is the same as on here so please feel free to add me and I will return the favour.

Starting to panic a little though, just found out my sister has booked her wedding - 16th April  That means in next 12 months have her wedding, both my parents 50th birthdays, my bros 21st, my niece's 1st birthday and my daughter's 3rd!!!! Not to mention other family + friends, gonna need to do loads of surveys/reviews to be money neutral!

    Sadie xx

Sadie - I tried to add you (I think!) and it says you have been temporarily or permanently removed from the site!

I guess, therefore, I'm doing it wrong lol - can someone advise how to add people?

PS my username is the same as on here so please add me!

What does the Tesco ad say? ... Every penny helps!

Sadie, don't worry about it, Saving and earning some money is better than none.

Last Christmas most of my presents were bought at the last minute on a credit card. This year I have paid off the credit card, paid of all my catalogues, and have tonnes of presents in stock (you should see my house) and I still have £330 in the Christmas fund (separate bank account) and £40 in vouchers.

That's just since Christmas, with the help of all of these lovely ladies. It can be done, you just need to stick at it. Good luck xxx

    Hi Sadie

I only really got into the money nuetral thing last year, but had been doing the organising thread from the year before, although I had been on the thread loads, but I did manage being money nuetral in the end last year, and well on my way this year too thanks to everyone on here and the wonderful jammy of course for starting the thread.

Are you on the sister thread? about organising for all occassions?

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2160839

Most of us on here are on there too, but we post ideas for homemade gifts and post lots of bargins and freebies we find too.

Have you gone through all your unwanted gifts you may have and recycled them for birthday/ christmas pressies this year? Have you got anything you can recyle that you have never used...? I had 3 vases under the sink last year that where new and I had never used them which I recycled as Xmas Pressies.

A bit last for now but I used Vista Print (with Cashback from TCB) to get my mum and MIL FREE matching canvas bags, mugs and pens for mothers day.

For Easter I'm making Sock Monsters.. Had most of the stuff in just had to buy some new socks LOL

Have a look at what you have and think about what you can make or do, a lot of people made Oils and Flavoured vodka, cookies and sweets, which you can spread the cost with over the next few months.
Starting to panic a little though, just found out my sister has booked her wedding - 16th April  That means in next 12 months have her wedding, both my parents 50th birthdays, my bros 21st, my niece's 1st birthday and my daughter's 3rd!!!!

Don't panic about occassions hun, just have a good think maybe you could make a towel cake for the wedding..heres a thread all about them...

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2025989

for the 21st I have one this year and have done a box filled with 21 silly pressies all for £6.77 :j

I have included things like (mines a girly one though)

    DIVA shot glass
    Mini Snnapps
    21 large borthday badge
VOLTZ Caffine shot (for the morning after)
    mini Champange
    21st Candle
    Girly Lip Glosses
21 things to do now your 21 cards
    Bubble bath with glitter in
    Butterfly saop

Can't remember the others... but places like homebargins and other cheapo shops are a great source of little things at little cost.

We did my cousion a 21st survival kit 2 years ago that went down well

Or if he is into something, say golf give him 21 golf balls.... wrap them all up and fill them in a box you could put silly quotes on them or something to make them a bit more special...

Will have a think about the 50th's and the LO

If you are stuck give us a shout I'm sure one of us could help out, hope you don't think I'm telling you what to do :o

Sorry to ramble so much, and hope it all makes sense (I have only had one coffee LOL)

    Morning Ladies

Went on Amazon this morning and put all my vouchers in, found I already had £5 left in there from before. Managed to order a camera for my daugther for her birthday, had to pay £9 for it after the vouchers came off and I still have one processing from Dooyoo which I should have soon. I have seen a digital photo frame that I like on there for £39.99 so if I can do enough reviews to get another voucher I will have enough. Already just over 7000

I got my cheque from nest egg yesterday so that will cover the cost of the camera.

    Morning all,

Thanks Elysia, gonna try to stick with it. Just have to keep coming on here for motivation :D

Have added you on dooyoo sillyrabbit and pammyj! Thanx ladies.

Thanks for your advice Sarah. I think I joined the other thread when it started, I'm not sure though lol! Last xmas I made a couple of baskets for my sis and mum, also made sweetie mugs for dad and bro. Also thought I would attempt '50 things' type baskets for both my parents but not really got anywhere yet. Hadn't thought to do a towel cake for my sis. Only booked it last week, bit short notice but her fiance is in the RAF so they want to get it sorted. Will have a look at them though, might be something I could do. Might do a survival kit for my bro, he has a good sense of humour and is always playing jokes so would probably love something like that. Will get round to joining you all on the other thread later if I can lol!
