feel really bad today on the money saving front, read my MF diary if you wanna see why :o

    diary post 188 onwards

You've got to do whats best for you and the children, I know that may sound harsh, but like u said if she went for a full time job, she'd have to change the position and anyhow a lot of people are looking for childminders and she could get the places filled.

my friend whos just had the baby her son goes to a childminder (he's 2), and although he starts nursery at 3, she was going to pull him out of the childminders whilst shes on maternity leave, but if she does that she loses his place, and the potential place for her daughter for when shes a yr old, the poor girls only a couple of days old, she sorted all this out whilst on maternity leave.

Hope that helps the guilty feeling, a good childminder their reputation comes b4 them. xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

I'd love to make the knitted character - trouble is that it is crocheted, not knitted, and I've never crocheted in my life! May stick with the mini jumpers to start with (need to buy cocktail sticks and beads first) as I could whip lots of those up in no time!

OK, mini-challenge: I've been REALLY slacking on dooyoo and I really need some moneies so going to try and get to £50. To get me back on the bandwagon (and anyone else), write 5 reviews by the end of the weekend. Totally do-able and just enough to get me going again!

Great idea for a mini-challenge! I haven't written a review for ages so I need the kick that the challenges give.
I hereby promise to write my 5 reviews by the weekend! :D

Pammyj-as a nanny I'm surprised that your kids were bored, as childminders have much more input from Oftsted than nannies do. The childminders I know locally are always doing things with their kids and I'm always out and about with my kids too. Who wants bored kids hanging around, its much easier to entertain them and get them involved then for them to just be bored.

Jamtart, I'm up for the mini challenge as I've stalled a bit. Watched a couple of films this week and also have read a few books, my own and with the kids I look after, so will review those.
