Sarah, can't you insist on having a new laptop rather than having to get it repaired so many times? I would have thought Dell would have to provide you with a new one since it's been back 4 times now!

I did not have the time to do the dooyoo or ebay challenge but i did not buy my lunches at work so have saved £40 this month and won the bonus ball at work which was £30. Well done for all of you who have got to your targets and i am glad i joined this thread else i would not have made the efforts with my lunches.
Jan lunch to work days 0/20
  • Well done Wendall. I never buy lunches because they're so overpriced £40 is a lot of money for what you could make at home for next to nothing.

I should have insisted that really, never thought at the time was more annoyed at them for trying to charge me again:mad: if it happens again I will do just that.

Thanks hun, fortunately when it went the 1st time I backed up all my files and photo's and have backed everything up ever since, so not going to loose anything, just my favorites. What annoyed me was the fact they say I need a new motherboard, I'm not very techy but can't understand this....as the laptop just didn't get anypower, surley that is the charger lead or the battery?? I know one thing though and that's I will never buy a Dell Again their customer service is appauling, and they had my name wrong and the guy I spoke to could hardly understand what I was saying, I know I have a strong Manc Accent but its not that bad.

The Laptop is well in its warrenty only had it 8 months and this is the 4th time it has had to go back:mad: that is probably why they are trying to charge me again, but I stood my ground lol...true thrifty gifty moaning girl lol:rotfl:

I have a dell laptop and it didnt charge properly, said plugged in not charging most of the time, thankfully they sent me a new charger and that works fine. I now have a charger downstairs and up as it doesnt hold it charge for more than 2 hours which is rubbish!

Does anyone know how long you have to wait for a dooyoo cheque, do they do it once a month? like quidco?

Have a kid free day today so will be spending a bit of time rating and writing reviews for the week I think.

  • Wow, I had my Dooyoo cheque through the door this morning. Now that's what I call speedy service! I ordered on the 25th January so that's a five day turnaround. Brilliant! I think it's a monthly paymnt run but I am super happy! :T

    Hi guys,

Sorry to barge in but I'm so excited and didn't know where to post.
I've been following this thread for a while and but tend to keep quiet, but thought you all needed to know that I've just completed my first ever Dooyoo review! :j
I've just moved to France (part of my uni course) so I thought I would have to calm my MSE addiction but I have managed to start adapting things for me, including only taking out €1 this morning for a baguette so I didn't buy anything else and of course, doing this review.
Hope you're all having a lovely Saturday.
