That is awkward, best not tell her they are assignments next time!

How comes you waited for a call instead of choosing the the jobs of the site ?

Once you've proven yourself the companies start to call you. Out of the 8 jobs I was given only 2 of them were available to be selected on the website, they're also the more desirable jobs.

Stoozer I am sure Lil Me can answer for herself but don't forget a lot of the burger etc type jobs had today or tomorrow as a closing date. Probably someone who had booked it probably couldn't face more food.

Thanks HP, luckily only the one is a short notice one for Monday. There are 7 left to allocate out of this wave, I wonder if they need more new shoppers in my city to snap them all up :)

By my rules if you need to taste the food to answer questions on it then it is non-taxable because it is a requirement of the job. This is also handy for pizzas and pub food ;)

Ooh do you know I didn't even consider this. So i'm using Monkeys spreadsheet, how do I log the non taxible bits of jobs, it seems to work out the tax automatically. How does everyone else do it?

    Thanks muchly x

Does RE ever call you? I just don't think they would..there jobs seem to go very quickly.

Also does anyone know whether we will be required to submit results for the assignments we have carried out since the 24th dec by the 4th Jan when the website is back online?

    What would the deadline be?

I have had phone calls from RE before, but generally they're for very last minute "please can you do this today" jobs where other people have let them down. Doesn't happen too often.

I would have thought that RE would like the results by the end of the 4th, although seeing as they have been doing a lot of updates the website there may be a few teething problems with the new software. If you're going to have problems submitting the assignment on the 4th I'd send the contact in the briefing notes an e-mail.

re have also called me and asked me to do a job that was a few days away. think they get desperate sometimes, you can see the same jobs just sitting there for ages. then they send out emails with higher fees sometimes.

i would email them about it, sure it would be ok if it was only a day or so later considering they have had the site down for nearly two weeks. it will be hell trying to enter results on the 4th i think, bloody site will keep crashing unless they have sorted it. they should prob only let people enter results and not put jobs on for the first day or so or it will be a nightmare. i have got a massive report to write for a casio i did :(

Does anyone know re the dine in pizza buffet...can you do it on your own or does it have to be 2 people. It is just I am doing a bank interview type job and this pizza buffet is right next to said bank. I can hardly take my mother though and expect her to wait 45 minutes for me.

Poor mum has Alzheimers and I took her once for a dine in job and she blurted out to the server..."My daughter is a mystery shopper". I just made a face like "what" and the girl just laughed. By which time I had asked for a receipt anyway.

Sorry HP, I'm banned from the pizza jobs, I only get to do their competitor jobs. If they're the same then the only odd thing is having to get 2 drinks, but if you go for a soft drink and a coffee that should cover it.

And bless your mum, I've happened to meet a friend out in a restaurant before and she came up to me and loudly said "is this one of your mystery shops?!?!" Luckily there weren't any staff in earshot but I could have killed her.
