Must...stop....spending.....money!
I've seen so many nice things that I want to buy, but it's from the US and whilst the stuff only costs £40, the postage is another £40 plus customs and VAT
Maybe if I get lots of high fee jobs from RE on Monday I can afford it :rotfl:0 -

But as long as you're nowhere Edinburgh we won't be in competition with each other!
You lucky thing living in Edinburgh. I would love to MS Harvey Nicks.:rotfl:Clique member no 1.:D0 -
I find that quite rude. Maybe you should make it your New Year's resolution not to be rude to other posters.
I knew that anything that differed from the in clique's opinion would be criticized and almost didn't post on this issue, but why should others be scared to post on here because of a handful of people who think they are in charge? If Max wants to post as a representative then he has been told how to register to do so. This is meant to be an informal place for mystery shoppers to chat, not for companies to advertise, which is what was happening.

A belated Happy New Year to everyone!
Hope you all celebrated - even if it was at home watching Big Ben!
I was away to Edinburgh, where we were invited to stay over by my daughter's boyfriend's family, and they took us all out to dinner then we saw in the New Year in one of the oldest pubs in Edinburgh - and it was brilliant! Finished off the night in one of their neighbours homes & got in at 5am - just like old times back in Liverpool!!! Loved it!!
By the way HP - they had originally wanted to take us to Harvey Nicks to eat - it was £160 PER HEAD!! It was almost full so people obviously pay it - must be mad!
I love Harvey Nicks but it's not worth that!!
Back home in good old Glasgow now, and just realised I have three jobs booked for tomorrow - lost track of the days & didn't realise it was Saturday - best get to bed!
We'll catch up during the week HP - and I've got weeks worth of MSE to catch up with!0 -

Happy New Year to you too. You won't be treating me to lunch at Harvey Nicks then. How the heck can anyone pay £160 for lunch. You been to the new Waitrose yet.Clique member no 1.:D0 -

I went into Harvey Nicks just before Christmas to get some bits and pieces for gifts and for Christmas dinner, and I was really disappointed. The range of food products seems to have gone downhill since I was in last Christmas and I left having purchased nothing (last year I spent about £30). They've got a new chocolate cafe bit just as you go in on the 4th floor - looks a bit like a Yo Sushi! with small plates of chocolate things going round on a conveyor belt - looked nice but a little bit pretentious.
What really made me decide not to bother going back was when I got to the door on the way out - I held it open for an old woman who just breezed passed me like I was some kind of servant, and then I held it open for this couple who had a double buggy and were about to struggle to get in - again they just walked right passed me, so I said "you're welcome" and they turned round and looked at me like I was some kind of weirdo!
So I know it's a generalisation, but I don't want to have anything to do with the type of person who feels they're above everyone else and don't even have basic manners.0 -
This wasn't for lunch - it was for the New Years Eve "do".
Most of the places in Edinburgh were around the £100 mark per head for that night - ridiculous!
Saying that, I remember us paying £70 each in a restaurant in Liverpool on New Years Eve about 25 years ago - we must have been mad - and rich then!!
The new Waitrose is great - I'm glad we've got one at last!
I've got a couple of jobs in Byers Road next week so will pop in there again. I like their stuff, though some of the prices are over the top, but not much different to M&S I suppose.
I shop in various places - Aldi & Lidl have great things too and I have my favourites that I get regularly from there.
We'll go for lunch soon - we never did get together with all the other Glasgow lot for our Christmas night out!
And no - it won't be Harvey Nicks!0 -
Hi All,
Would someone be able to email me ukmonkey's spreadsheet? I have tried to get it from the link on the first page so many times but it never lets me do it2019 will be my year!!0 -
Hmm, there are still over 2000+ jobs on ESA just now, and none have been allocated since Thursday.
Does anyone know when the rest will be allocated? Given that they're due to start on Wednesday, I can't see them getting them all sorted out on Monday and Tuesday!0 -

Good question. They phoned me twice last week about jobs that nobody had applied for. The lad said they were trying to get these ones sorted, so mayber the bulk have somebody's name against them and just needed to be given out??
Looking at the weather I'm not sure about the driving involved. That's 15 days in a row it's snowed here and I'm getting fed up with it. If the jobs aren't allocated by Monday I may be cancelling some of the ones I've applied for.0
