Just as i thought - they were there when I went to bed but were gone this morning!! They're not back in the pot for re-allocation so someone else has got them. A bit disappointed as i'd put my day on hold in the hopes that I'd get them, but never mind it's foggy and damp so I'll stay indoors - maybe.

with esa, don't count on the jobs or put day on hold, just count any you get as a bonus :)
  • I am completing a job today that involves taking a picture of the inside of the shop - I would be grateful if anyone has any ideas how I might do this - I do not have a camera phone that I can download pictures from.

    Thanks

Do you have a digital camera?

Depending on the job, if you really have to take photos and you do not have any means of doing that, release the job, not worth the risk of not being paid.

Sorry, can't be of any further help, hope you manage to get it sorted.

Thanks, I have a digital camera which i was intending on taking the photos with but not sure how to take the one of the inside of the shop.

If it's one of the florist shops, then it said on the brief that if it would look suspicious to take an inside pic then you didn't need to. Apart from that then I'm not sure. I'd probably say to myself, oh that's just what I'm looking for I must take a photo to remember it, then snap away, but then I'm quite thick skinned. :)

    Thanks, I'll try that.

I said that i'll have to take a pic and send it to my friends cos we've all chipped in for the flowers for her birthday. No problem, but then this was on my mobile, so easier. I would probably go for oh my friend wants these colours for her wedding bouquet, do you mind if I take a photo? Then take a shot of the shop.

When I log into RE it says I have 2 messages - both are notices that I have read - is there no way of getting rid of it saying there are 2 messages? They are in the notices, one message is about a survey and the other about internet browsers:D

I have those too, it's quite annoying and I can't find a way to get rid either!

Although I find lots about RE annoying :D
  • I have the same two messages!

Just a quick question. Just got my first job with tern (rather excited)

I assume from the sheet given in the brief that i 'invoice' them. I've seen this somewhere but have not done it for a company yet.

And, in the 'shop fee' bit it doesn't say an amount although it does in the description. is that ok?
I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!

Yes, when you print out your briefing notes there is an invoice attached. You just fill it in. It asks you the store you visited, date and time and amount to claim. If you buy anything you have a seperate expenses sheet for that but if it's the same one I've got you don't need to buy anything.

You send your invoice off in the post before the end of the month and they will send you a cheque by the 8th of the following month. So if you send it off on the 25th Feb, by the 8th March you should have your cheque.
