Fine oh superior one. I shall make it a point from now on to point out every typo you make.Must be so nice being perfect.

Au contraire my pet.It takes me twice the time to do MS's reports as I have to proofread about 3 times to correct typos.or is that pytos!!!

Mind you I have seen some crackers on briefing notes. Wish we could deduct points from some of the MS'ing companies.

I have to eat humble pie here. I think I over reacted to the posy where I jumped to conclusions about Glaswegians although others did too.

My only excuse is I retired from Asda in November. I had a savings account for 5 years so that I could go a holiday of a lifetime when I retired.

But I don't know if I can go now. MY mum has Alzheimers and the only way I could go ( it was a luxury cruise in Egypt with a 2nd week stay in a top hotel in Sharm El Sheik. A week days ago my sister who was coming up from Norwich to look after mum took chickenpox.

So I hope you will all understand I am a bit jumpy. To crown it all I booked my travel insurance with the travel agent and they have been useless. They say the policy doesn't cover this so I may lose £2,500.I am only covered for illness of it is me of OH or if mum had died. Nice one eh. They suggested I put mum into care but I cannot bring myself to do this. Mum is totally dependant on me.

It is not just the loss of the money but I have spent an age researching this holiday as it calls at Cairo, Luxor and Petra. I even have my suitcase packed.

I know words cannpt undo the hurt I caused the original poster.

You will notice the time of this post but I haven't slept the last few nights worrying about it. I feel absolutely gutted.

So I hope you will all forgive me.

I am even considering doing a 800mile drive to bring my sister up here as she is too mortified to go on a train. I phoned her GP and he has given her powerful antiviral treatment but she feels too embarrased to travel by train with all those spots.

I really needed this holiday as caring for someone with Alzheimers is stressful and the thought of this holiday was keeping me going.

PS Anyone want some free sun tan cream.

Those of you who know me will know this is out of character for me.

Hollypear I'm so sorry your plans haven't worked out - I hope you'll forgive me for saying that your sister needs a kick up the conciensce (sp) if she's letting embarrassment ruin your holiday of a lifetime. On the other hand I am a great believer in fate and that everything happens for a reason even if its hard to see what that reason could possibly be at the time.

I don't know you well enough to know if it was out of character for you....I just thought you were a moody mare :D;)

Hollypear, I really feel for you. Having support when caring for someone with Alzheimers is crucial for your own well being. It can be so hard...

If I was your sister I too would feel self conscious but I would get on the train for you. There are many people who have to get out and about with far more serious problems and most people take no notice of each other on journeys.

I hope she gets over her initial shock and manages to be there for you.

    xxx

It is stressful and you need a break. You'll be no good to your Mam if you're stressed and tired.

There's no harm in putting her in restbite care for two weeks so you can go away. We did that with Gran and she enjoyed her holiday just as much as my parents did.

Hope you get sorted out *big hugs*
Here I go again on my own....
  • Which company does M&S mystery visits? I've tried to find this out for years! Our local M&S could certainly do with a few mystery visits.

I've never been offered an M&S visit, but a quick google came up with the answer. I believe it's a 'large shopping' company. I'm not very good at this cryptic stuff, but it's one of the later companies on the first page. They're quite open about it, and have a testimonial from M&S on their front page that you don't need to be logged in to see.

I don't know which company you mean but you're probably wrong. You wouldn't find the company that MS's M&S by Googling. They are anything but open about it. It's all top secret.

Most of you probably are already registered with the company but the way they work is that you have to prove your worth and reliability doing jobs for their other clients before you are offered M&S. And they only take on as many shoppers as they need in each area.

You poor thing. Under the circumstances, I don't feel there's a need for forgiveness. If we can't behave out of character when life gives us a huge kick, what hope is there for any of us? I do hope you get this resolved.

Well I am mad at gap, did a petrol audit for them last Friday and sent results in as usual, it is now showing as cancelled/rejected! The same thing has happened to my friend too. I have e mailed them but no reply surprise surprise. I travelled 40 miles round trip for this audit so am seriously peed off! Has this happened to anyone else? I have heard that the whole programme has been cut right back but surely not once audits have been completed??

I have now had an email from them (well, three actually, but all the same). It is confirmed that all of January's were cancelled (requested by client due to weather/visit difficulties). It is also confirmed that the completed audits will be paid.

I think the poster is referring to the testmonial given by M&S outlets on Retail Maxims website but I know another company actually ms's the stores.
