The test is in place for a reason - to ensure that people who actually carry out mystery shops are able to do so with a certain level of professionalism. If you have already failed the test a couple of times and are now coming on here "for the answers" then that probably suggests you don't have this.

I think we should be HARSH!

This is a a job application. If becomecheng and others cannot get past these few questions then it is telling them that they are not suitable.
  • Good gracious, is the tns test just some sort of multiple choice thing now? When I joined I had to read through the entire handbook and spent a good 40 minutes writing long written answers :/[/QUOTE

    It's so easy.

Made my blood boil this morning!

    What a joke!

I completely agree with you. How on earth did we get through the test? On our own, with no help. I still have problems with some reports after years of ms`ing. I can write and rewrite some sentences and they still do not look correct.
And Spotty? OMG! What next? Fat? Old?Crosseyed?

From your post above, it would appear your command of English is rather poor - therefore how could TNS expect to receive a report that made sense to the client?

Also, if I was a store manager and a mystery shop report arrived which said that one of my team was "really spotty", then I would probably hit the roof! If you think this is an objective comment, then I would seriously question whether this is the right line of work for you.

If they let just anybody do mystery shopping, then this ultimately dilutes the quality of reports, clients get annoyed, fees go down or the work goes elsewhere.
    Yes, totally agree.

I agree and don't think the test should be published here. I don't think TNS would like their confidential job application material posted in a public forum.
Here I go again on my own....

    need some help!

Just gone to do the 'catalogue' shop. Idea was purchase item from the list (in stock) same again with an out of stock item. Problem being, stock checkers were not working.

I deceided to leave the not in stock product, as if they had it stocked this would cause a problem as i was meant to be returning the in stock product. could hardley return both. But.... the in stock item was out of stock (hope your following this). So, it's not like i could have gone back with another item. e.g. ok, can't buy an alarm clock, can i have a printer instead. I thought this would have been a dead give away so abandoned shop.

was this the right thing. Will i need to complete the paperwork or shall i contact and rearrange the shop?

I explained what happened and they said it was fine for me to do it again. I put some of it down to experience, although feel that if they didn't have the flipping staff members poking there nose in things like that wouldn't happen lol
I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!

    Hi everyone here,

    I'm a newbie here

    Evidently.

Please can you remove the qualifying test from this forum, I don't want to be rude but the main quality for a mystery shopper is confidentiality.
