Just got my second payment from BARE. I was wondering why I'd only been paid for one of the two jobs I did and a letter just popped through the door from Alliance and Leicester telling me that they've taken £10 for the privilege of using their bank. W*nkers. I suppose I should be lucky that they didn't take £10 for the last payment as well. Best change it to Halifax for next time!
Natwest have just charged me £7 for the payment so lets get this right Halifax does not charge - is there any other banks that do not charge ?0 -
Barclays don't charge me........Some people create their own storms....then get upset when it rains!0

PLEASE check that an alert has not already been posted . Lots of us get email notifications when the thread is updated and it's very annoying to log in to find a duplicate post. Especially this near Xmas when I'm busy getting things ready for the big day and don't really have time to be on here.
My duplicate post, apologies. I subscribe to the thread myself and for some unknown reason had not received the last 3 or 4 post notifications for the thread so that's why it was a duplicate. I assumed I would have seen a notification if it had already been on there. I apologised when I realisedIf you can’t beat your computer at chess, try kickboxing.:rotfl:0 -
Yeah, but it's not the first time this has happened, and it does get annoying to log in to find a duplicated alert...and this one was over 12 hours apart.
It doesn't take too much skill to check previous alerts to make sure the one you are putting on has not already been posted does it...?
As I said, it was my fault, I hold my hands up and apologise. As a subscriber to the thread myself I thought I was safe to assume that I would have seen it if it was already there.
I didn't receive some of the updated thread notifications yesterday, don't know whyIf you can’t beat your computer at chess, try kickboxing.:rotfl:0 -

Tax question here - I have a meal out booked - no fee, just reimbursment. Can I claim the mileage and printed sheets plus parking as expenses and declare a loss on the job ? I am assuming yes, but would like clarification as there is no fee payable.0

I didn't receive some of the updated thread notifications yesterday, don't know why
That used to happen to me when I didn't sign into MSE for 24 hours. Don't know why, but it's very annoying. I gave up in the end as I didn't sign in every day and it ended up being more trouble than it was worth with me missing job because I just assumed there wasn't any. Did you sign in yesterday?0
