Waiting Over 2 Months For Talk Talk to activate my Broadband

Hi every1
I had a new line connection with talk talk for phone and Broadband, the telephone line was activated over 6 weeks ago.
I was told broadband would go live on the 15th of december but yet it has not, i went to cancel several weeks and the lady told me she would wave the 59.99 connection fee and said it would be live for 15th. Still not and no1 on customer services line is any help, im so angry and ready to just cancel it completly.
Im going to be left with no broadband over christmas and im not happy.
I need help fast or im just joining PLUSNET!!!! Cheaper and FASTER!!!!

So what date have they now given you? Why the delay?No free lunch, and no free laptop

Do you know if they put your broadband order through at the same time? I had this issue with BT, ordered my line and broadband and called the day my phone line activated as on the letters there was no mention of the broadband and they said they don't order it UNTIL the line is active.
Perhaps this could explain the delay? Even so, if they say 15 Dec and its still not activated thats not ideal.
I assume your confident you've connected your router correctly, etc?0 -

We've just transferred to PlusNet and its great. However, at one stage we were going to go with Sky, but they messed me about so much I just cancelled it. We were without broadband for about a week becuase of the problems Sky caused, so I bought a mobile dongle from Carphone Warehouse (offer here, but I bought mine in store). It cost £8.99 and you have to topup with £10. The normal cost is £2 a day, £7 a week or £15 a month. After the first day (£2) you get 30 days free. So I used it for a week, and now got a dongle I can use on holiday or as a spare if there are any problems. If you've got an unlocked phone you can use the credit up on phone calls. You would at least have a connection over Christmas. I did think of taking my laptop to Starbucks where the wifi is free, but that would have cost me more in coffee that I spent.0 -
I am in the same boat, I joined talk talk in early november, New line got installed over 4 weeks ago, go live date was today, I have just come off the phone with them and they have no idea why it hasnt been prosessed,
Wishing i hadnt canceled my virgin media broadband now, stuck with my Three mobile with internet addon for now.
Pretty poor service, I may cancel it if its not sorted before the end of the month0
