If it is just a cheque (no cash on the credit slip) then it will appear when the item is processed by the branch, and in reality that could be anytime upto about 8pm, although usually much, much sooner.
They process and reconcile throughout the day, but it really depends on the branch. Ignore the cutoff time as this is only a guide as to when the entries will be processed, after the cut off it WILL be the next working day as this allows staff to process the items received that day.
I remember processing the days waste at the branch, it was filled with problems and the equipment was so old is always played up! Even more so when items just would not balance or you ended up working of line from the centre! These are my thoughts and no one else's, so like any public forum advice - check it out before entering into contracts or spending your hard earned cash!
I don't know everything, however I do try to point people in the right direction but at the end of the day you can only ever help yourself!0 -

The old doc handlers are long gone, they all use little desktop machines now. They were designed for low use on counter positions (similar to Lloyds) but they're all set up on back desks now. What would William Shatner do?0 -
Bet the branches are not the same without the clatter of the doc handler there was something very special when the damn thing just packed up for no reasonThese are my thoughts and no one else's, so like any public forum advice - check it out before entering into contracts or spending your hard earned cash!
