Writing a letter would have been the most sensible option if no time was available for calls during the day.
The op has had a month to do so.
Being a teacher I guess she must be capable of doing so.

    Agreed.

While I know teachers work a lot in term time if you had posted on here I would have advised you to first try sending them a email via internet banking then if that doesn't work and they still say you have to phone them, then you should send them a letter by recorded delivery.

I mean you don't have to go into school on Saturday and Sunday so even if you wrote a letter one Sunday you could get to the post office either before 5.30pm/6pm in the week or the next Saturday and post it.

I've had trouble with various companies including banks and insurance companies and phoning their call centres are a waste of time as they pretend you haven't called them or will distort what was said. If you send a letter by recorded delivery they cannot deny that you sent it (and get away with it) and distort what is written down.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)

I agree Olly, to be frank I've been daft and let things slide on like this rather than deal with them so I can understand where the OP is coming from and I can really identify with the end of term exhaustion they are feeling. Hence my defence of their comments. After all I'm sure the poster that was sniping about the OP having time to post on the forum during school hours has never ever used 5 mins of company time to do something similar.

Seriously OP, I hope you get it sorted soon. typical bank bully boy tactics, the love to make the rules up as they go on and penalise you for not knowing where the goalposts they moved last week, turned upside down and converted into basketball hoops are...:rotfl:
