Its all very well praising "Avira" this totally mucked up my comp by sending a "False Positive", the guy who re-installed it said "Its a known problem with Avira"
And whts the problem with running lots of AV progs? so long as you only run them independently?0 -
Any anti-virus can break your PC -which is why you should only have 1 installed.
The only thing people need is real time (ie always on) scanning and some are better than others but like I say people ignore warnings and load in all sorts of crap. Best thing it to right click any files you download and then scan with your AV program.
If you have actually caused damage with a trojan or similar then removing it can be difficult for most AV apps and this is when some fail. Just keep your machine up to date and right click any files or folders that you are not sure of their content.
