    Hi Devo,

It was quite simple really and I didnt need to do any extra work.

I sent my bank a letter just asking for the six years of statements and told them to debit my account for the £10 fee (which they sent for free in the name of good customer service erm?!!)
These were received within a week in 56 envelopes! bet my postie loved me!
I calculated the fees then sent off the letter asking for repayment as on the consumer action group site, then panicked a little as had not had a reply after 13 days then on the 14th day received the good news about repayment!

    whole process took 26 days!!

    Still really chuffed today!!

Wow! It sounds so easy....let's see if my bank give me a hard ride

I was with HSBC. I had already opened another account with A&L and my accounts with HSBc were both overdrawn by £353 and £501 respecrively- yet they still paid out!!

  • Has anyone got any bank charges back with Nat West? I have a £1500 overdraft wich is usually used in the month and also have an IVF so don't really want to upset them but back end of last year I was a couple of days late with some payments and they really pailed me with charges.

PS Well done England played crap again but jobs a good 'un!!
We finally did it! Debt free 28/6/10 :T  :T
