    I initally though this was about the old joke...never eat yellow snow.

    I think that when I used to go to Canada with the Merchant Navy in the 1960's it was compulsory to have studded snow tyres fitted during the winter months. I do not know if this applied in all provinces, but it certainly did in the eastern ones. I would think it likely that this might still be the case. This is obviously one of the reasons that they can manage in the snow.
    I can afford anything that I want.
    Just so long as I don't want much.

    I would agree with this. Additionally, if the council warden took photos of the car, how could he prove it was parked exactly on yellow lines if they were hidden by snow.

    Phew, I thought it was just me.

    I read "yellow lines and snow" and thought "aww, someone's writing their name" :)

    I had exactly the same picture in my head.........and then I thought 'it's a bloke thing' ............and that put another picture in my mind of a woman writing her name................very agile.
