Hi Folks.

Have a new date for a Craft Fair but don't know how to add it to the list.

Jenni Munn is running another fair for Cancer Research at Bally duggan Mill on Sunday 28th November.
The cost is £30 per table. No times on the e-mail from her but it will probably be the same as her last one 12 to 6pm. Her e-mail is jenni.munn@googlemail.com
Everyone needs to have their Public Liability Insurance to send along with the application form and money.

Hi glassact - we enjoyed your company at Ballance House. :j
Are you doing Cultra?

Has anyone been to Cultra before? Has anyone any idea where we will be?

Just to remind you all that the application forms for October Fair in St Dorothea's need to be in before 24th September as shortlisting will take place soon after that. Only room for 20 tables.
hi girls

I was going to do cultra but then realised I will be away all week so need to stay home that weekend and get caught up on a few things.

Hi everyone
I know this has nothing to do with craft fairs but can anyone recommend a really good dog boarding kennel for holiday times. I have a small dog but she is nervous around big dogs and I am looking for someone/somewhere were she could even be looked after in the kennel owners home (1 week usually). My usual kennel place takes far too may now and I want a quiet one.

Has anyone put in for St Dorothea's?

I did Scotts event in Ardee yesterday and have booked the Christmas event. I am thinking of asking for my cheque back for St Dorotheas and doing his Halloween event instead - I have been doing fairs for about 12 years with work and for myself, and this is the first Church fair I have ever had a selection process for!:rotfl:
DJWW - cos we won't let it!

I think it's a bit unfortunate that this fab resource will be taken away from new crafters. But guys if that's the way you want to go so be it.

Can I be a wee bit argumentative and possibly controversial please? I think our thread here is fantastic and the number of pages this year alone is testament to that. We all contribute events which we source in a variety of different ways - indeed I'd be surprised if some of our events haven't come from the craftfairsandevents board directly or indirectly. They also use a variety of sources to compile their list - including looking at our free-to-view thread. Nothing wrong with that as far as I can see, if people want to pay them £20 a year to view a load of stuff they can see for free here fair play to them and to the administrators - it's called enterprise!! I have a Facebook account and have accepted invitation to the craft group on there but would like to think that will run alongside this thread and events will be shared between the two - would not like to be shutting out anyone who views and/or contributes to this thread just because they don't have a facebook account! Sorry to put the cat amongst the pigeons - does anyone agree with me??

hi there

I Think I bought one of your purses at a fair at Victoria College last year. It was lovely.

I dont know if I want to go on Facebook. I really like this site and am very happy to share any info with others on upcoming fairs. I would really miss it if people dont share anymore. I agree it is a fab resource for new crafters lke myself.:T

Someprettybags,

It wont be taken away:)
I have just set up a facebook page for all crafters that know each other.....we have had a few trolls on here recently....and a comment from another member of mse....dmxdave I think...we dont know who he is! But he felt it necessary to come on to the board and comment on fairs and our discussions.

Because of the trolls.....I think a few of us are WARY of new posters....until we meet in the flesh IYKWIM:o....people introduce themselves and what they do....

You are a new poster......first post today, maybe you have something to do with bags.....can you see our point in setting up a different discussion place? some of our fairs havnt been so good some have been great.....we want to let people know why they were good and why they were bad etc.....but I for one dont want to publically tell other genuine crafters my reasons for this that and the other!!

Rach....some of us have been torn to shreads by people we dont know... I know your not trying to stir!!
If it wernt for this forum we would all be subscribing to a £20 or £30 per year website, I am totally indebted to this forum for the help I received when I was doing craft fairs!!

But sometimes the pms and the trolls can do their damage too:o

Hey Rach

Agree with everything you say. Would you be able to look back and put these fairs on or they will get lost in all the pages - Slanes Castle 15th Aug, Ballygowan Community Centre 20th Nov and the other from SheDee Ballyduggan Mill 28th Nov.Thanks.
ive got the craft bug, watch out its catching!!!;)
