I'm getting enough commissions through there without having to pay for advertising elsewhere. I didn't sell anything on Etsy unfortunately, but I suspect that the postal charges I have to add onto pots puts people off...especially coz most customers are based in the US which makes it too expensive. Definitely worth a go for smaller stuff I think. You can just register and start selling pretty much straight away.
Thanks Ginger - how do you set up a facebook fanpage?Im knitty, Im nutty, but I dont know anyone called Nora.0 -

Many thanks!
I don't know of any, but I do know there is a demand for them, having once been a writer for an international bear magazine. I'm actually familiar with your creations, have seen your website and wrote of your work when you were making your previous range. Your work needs a Northern Ireland showcase and I wish you luck in finding one. If one of the big hotels in Belfast were to run Bear Fairs like the ones you traded at in Cresta Court Hotel (which is sadly no longer doing them) they'd get bear artists from England coming over and staying the weekend, and bear collectors from all over Ireland would definately come to it. Perhaps there are other bear artists reading the forum who could join up with you and persuade a hotel to run one in one of their conference rooms. I know you have vast experience in dealing at fairs, so you'd be very capable of organising one yourself if someone were to agree to let you use their facilities. You already know the ropes since you have been making world class bears for how many years now? About 7 I guess??? I'll be looking in on the forum to find out if you get anywhere with it and if you do... see you there with my cheque book! :rotfl:0 -
