Hello Pattiemay, nothing much useful to add to the other fantastic posts, but just wanted to let you know that I think you've been incredibly brave and honest, I'm thinking about you, and honestly, it does get better - for a long time you feel like you are just treading water, swimming against the tide etc, and then suddenly you see a little flash in the corner of your eye, and when you turn too look at it, you'll find it's a tiny chink of light at the end of the tunnel, getting closer and closer every day. You WILL get there, and there are some amazing people on this site who will help you every step of the way, with fantastic advice and funny/touching stories that make the journey so much more pleasant. All the very best to you and your family - next time you look in your Grandkids' eyes, just think to yourself 'I'M LUCKY', and hold on to that when you're feeling low.

Hi shantin, thanks for your support, im just glad I started posting on here when I did, things are bad but could have got a lot worse if I hadn't started reading this forum. Will post tomorrow, hopefully with a plan of action.

Things may be bad, but you're so right .... they could be a whole lot worse!! You have taken the first very important steps towards helping yourself, and that is what counts!

Just a thought for you - many years ago I learned a lesson that has helped me on countless occasions in my life. It is using the concept of "partialising the problem" Big words I know, but what it is all about is trying to look at and deal with whatever problem one faces in small, manageable chunks, and not all at once. In this situation, for example, set yourself small goals that you know you can achieve, and obviously the more one achieves, the more encouraged one becomes.

Life is full of challenges for all of us, but we can always find the proverbial "Silver Lining" if we take the time to look for it!
