A couple of weeks ago I felt just like you do now. First of all, you are not alone in having a debt problem, and the chances are most of the people you see in the street have some levels of debt too. There is no shame in it.

I understand how a business can ruin your finances. It's hard when things don't go to plan and the obvious solution at the time is to use the credit cards to tide you over until it passes. I did it, and so have thousands of others.

Do give the CAB, Debtline or Payplan a call, they are really nice people who understand. They see this every day and trust me they deal with a lot worse situations than yours so don't be afraid to call them, you will feel the weight of the world lift when you do.

Post your SOA here, see this thread for help

and the folks here will help you out loads.

    Hi Pattiemay and welcome.
Write to the employer and instruct them that you want your number removing from their records immediately, and that all further communications are to be in writing only. If they fail to keep to this you will report them to the Office of Fair Trading, it is actually law that they comply with this if you instruct them in writing. SEND THIS RECORDED DELIVERY,SIGNED FOR.. Got a model letter somewhere..... PM me if you can't think of what to write and i will let you have it if i find it.
    Keep smiling,
