Faulty Christmas tree

Hi
I have just come back from the forestry commission where I selected a tree, however on arriving home and removing it from the package there were no instructions included, not only that but it has no plug fitted and no on off switch, further inspection has revealed two slugs a moth and four woodlice looking critters.

My family are so distressed I have cancelled Christmas and we will hold it early next year, I'm almost dreading the trip to the pet store for my Easter bunny, how do these company's get away with such shoddy service?

It's all right for you to laugh but this is the second Christmas in a row totally ruined because of misleading and faulty products.
Last year I ordered a very expensive "Roasting Turkey" well you like to push the boat out a little at Christmas don't you, now this was no ordinary "Roasting Turkey" this was an M&S roasting turkey so I'm sure you will agree with my thinking that this was going to be just that little bit extra special.

Well to my chagrin come Christmas day and time to serve dinner and I went to carve my "Roasting turkey" I found not only was it not "roasting" it was in fact stone freezing cold, further more I am quite certain by it's appearance it was indeed undercooked. At least there was a lot of it and dear granny smith ate a hearty meal before succumbing to her bout of salmonella and passing away peacefully in her comatose state. Luckily I still had the receipt for her Christmas gift but it was still quite an inconvenience returning a wheelbarrow to b&q with two children in tow.
I just wish these companies would stop and think of the upset and inconvenience they cause when letting us down at such a normally jolly time of the year.

As for the Nintendo Wii well what can I say? Dry as a bone.

It does say about half way up the pole thingy in the middle "Jazza luvs C*" not sure what the second letter is, it could be an E but then again it could be a Q it's hard to tell they are so similar, is this the mark you are referring to? Should it be surrounded by a heart shape scraped into the surface like mine is?

Must confess to roaring here-When I saw the title I thought how the hell can a xmas tree be faulty??-probably someone moaning about fibre optics and thought get a real one,or maybe a real one is lopsided--you have made my day with this post.
Reminds me of when I worked for M&S and organised the store's xmas turkey ordering and this chap turned up on xmas eve and was complaining like mad that when he picked his turkey up it was not cooked as shown on the front of the brochure--I kid you not!!-No matter what I said to him he just kept pointing at the turkey and the brochure saying but it isn't cooked like in the picture- I felt sorry for him but drew the line at taking it home to get wifey to cook it for him and drop it round.

Edited to say didn't read your last post about the turkey!!!!!!!-I was roaring so much about the tree I just went straight for my reply--The Turkey not being cooked when picked up was absolutely true I assure you --kept us chucking all through xmas and the January sale

I also ordered some walnut whips online for Christmas presents, they went straight back to Anne Summers with a terse covering letter I assure you. How very dare they?
