Talk Talk broadband/phone offer - any good?

I'm seriously considering the talk talk "free" broadband offer - just wondered if anyone here has it and how good it is? I;m moving in next week and would like to get my internet and phone set up ASAP. It seems good value, but just a couple of questions - are all their inclusive calls actually through the phoneline, or through a VOIP system? And are their download speeds reliable?

sorry to say if you want to download anything dont go to talktalk they will stop you downloading ,I was with them for 12 months and found it all most impossible to leave took over 2 months after I gave them their 30 days notice so dont go there

Calls are done over PSTN phone lines.

Wouldnt recommend it at all, awful customer service. They're not a broadband company & it shows

Took me yonks to get away from TT broadband as well. First they wouldn't give me a PAC number and now they're still charging me £14.99/month (just had a bill for the second overcharge month).

Have written to the company secretary with a copy of my complaint letter (that elicited no response) from two weeks ago. They have another 2 weeks to cough up my refund and then I'll be taking court action.
