Contract Question?
Hello good people!
My wife has started (about a month in to it) a 12 month contract with Orange and she has decided that she doesn't like her phone, a W810i. She says its too fidegty for her and wants rid. Now I'm wondering if it would be possible to unlock the phone and sell it on and keep the money to pay the contract or is that phone now tied to Orange until the contract is up?
I would take it myself but I just changed mine a couple of weeks ago. Any insights would be gratefully received.

You can do exactly what you suggest and unlock it (or even not bother) and then sell it. The orange SIM will work in any Orange compatible phone.0 -
Cheers m8 will pass the info on to her should make her happy!0

You'd get a lot more for it if it were unlocked though to be honest, doesn't cost much to unlock it if you take it to a phone shop (or do it yourself with a dct4 calculator and the imei number of the phone) and people will pay £15 - £20 more generally for an unlocked phone. But that phone is yours, sell it and buy whichever one you want
