We have a full size Bosch and find it excellent. There are only the 2 of us, but as we are retired and home all day, it does get put on every 24-36 hours.
Our daughter lives alone and she has no problem filling a full size one every couple of days......also a Bosch.
We have found that Bosch offer a reliable product at an affordable price. As well as the dishwasher we have a Bosch hob and fridges and freezers.
We do have a Miele oven (now 21 years old) and a Miele vacuum (also 21 years old) which were very reasonably priced when we bought them, and have given excellent service, but these days most Miele kitchen appliances are beyond our budget.0 -
I'd certainly recommend my Indesit, great selection of programmes and runs quietly. I usually rinse all dishes before putting them in the dishwasher and only use every two or three days and generally use the quick programme which is only 24 minutes. Alternatively there is a programe that only washes the top deck handy when I'm washing my Crocs0

If you check out the forum, you'll find the answer - these guys are the engineers that fix them so have a host of experience. I have used many times and been delighted with responses, they also do spares if you make the wrong choice and need help!0 -
There are 2 adults (mostly) here and we only fill the slimline one every other day (except this time of the year). We cook and most things go in there so a slimline one is enough unless you have a large family.
we have an electrolux slimline one and it uses 8 litres of water and 0.8kWH for a quick wash.0 -

Two in my household and we fill a dishwasher every day.
And here's another vote for Bosch (though, in fairness, we inherited a Whirlpool with the current house and it's working OK. My previous Bosches did a beter job, however).0 -
another bosch fan here, I'd buy a full size but make sure you have a rinse function so if it isn't full at the end of the day you can rinse of the dishes and leave them happily til it is fullPeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

Another vote for Bosch from me. We are only 2 adults and have a slimline one. However, we only have that size because of the space restriction and we have both said, time and time again, that if it wasn't for the space we would definitely have a full sized dishwasher.
Pots and pans tend to fill the slimline ones very quickly... couple of large pans and the bottom rack is virtually full.
If you have the same attitude as us ("if it doesn't go in the dishwasher we don't buy it") then you'll have no problem filling it up! :-)0 -
On my third Bosch, in nearly 30 years, never had a problem with any of them. Any spares were easily obtainable.
Buy one with the minimum number of programmes - you don't need 17 different ones.
DON'T put good quality (lead crystal) glass ware in it !!!0 -

I only use one programme in the dishwasher & the ONLY thing I don't put in it is glasswear.0
