Am waiting until this week for british gas to send to my meters a refind which is back dated all from Sept to be put on meters for overpayign what i should. They have sent the messge and just need to wait. Will use this refund then move

After Email after Email sent to biritsh gas person who is sorting my issue out he came back with these figures for the click and the refunds i am due on the meters from the date we moved in.

the tariffs sent to your meter are for the London area but should be East Midlands I will check with meter operator that they have been sent and advise. The electric works out slightly cheaper but the gas is the same, I have checked on website and these prices are inclusive of vat at 5%.

Elec on 15/12/09 Read 15295 - Start Read 28/08/09 14786 = 509 units which on Electric is 509 kwh

78 days at 15.519p/day = £12.10
usage 509 x 10.416p =£53.01 total £65.11 Total put in meter by yourself during this period £69 therefor credit refund credit sent to meter = £3.89


Gas read 15/12/09 read 01162 - Start Read 28/08/09 1030 = 132 units

looking at gas in your area 1 unit is equal to 11.22 kwh

132 units = 1481 kwh 78 days x 7.34 = 572.52 @ 7.991 p = £45.75
908 kwh @ 3.266 = £29.65

Total £75.40 Credit out in gas meter £86 therefor refund credit sent to meter £10.60

About time, British Gas have now set the rates on my meter to the correct ones. Took 3 months to get sorted LOL

New Rates on PrePayment Meters with the Lick Package.

Just waitng for the refund they still keep telling me they sent to the meter

Click. A nightmare. I signed up to this. Complete nightmare with BG. The gas meter has well going hay wire. The lectric was fine click prices. However that has just started to do what the gas meter does. Tariffs go up! 10.00 Perce Per Kwh and £1.18 standing charge. however this is at £ 1.80 standing charge and 10.52 per per Kwh. SHOULD BE 10 per kwh and £1.18 charge.

I HATE BG with a passion. The amount of grief. Alongside the sheer lack of help. They don't seem to have a clue. Thats months I've been trying to get the gas sorted. Then the elctric starts.

I had to goto the top in the end and speak to the CEO of BG.
