corsa gear problems

back in 2003/2004 i had to replace the linkage on my 2001 corsa sri, the replacement part bought from the main dealer had a modification to the one i removed so vauxhall had obviously had lots of issues with this problem to carry out mods. 1st and reverse were the problems with my car, I changed the part within about a week of the problem appearing after I couldnt select 1st at a busy roundabout.0

all sorted now - thanks to everyone for your advice. it was the linkage, they didn't replace, just tightened up, £24 so not a scary bill!! Can't believe how easy it is to get it into gear now!
