I usually look through the list and offer it to the person i get the best vibe from. I tried first come first served etc but found that they didn't turn up.

Thanks to freecycle I have a gorgeous new table and a calor gas heater for the winter months

Well sofas are away I gave it to the first person who could uplift straight away as I just didnt have the room to wait on someone collecting, felt good to help someone out and he has offered me help with my pc so that was a nice way to say thanks

I love freecycle - haven't taken anything as I'm shortly moving my 3-bed house into my OH's 3-bed house (we have so many duplicates of stuff its hilarious!), but have got rid off a few things except a piano that needs work (anyone interested? pick-up only!)

Never been sucessful in 'claiming' an item - our group seem to work on the first reply principle! However I have 'given' quite a lot - I wait for the replies to come in - usually add a line on the listing to say 'all replies by ?' and then either pick who can collect first/ who needs it most / those I get a good vibe from.
