I've got this now, and while I've not built it up yet, I'm impressed & surprised by the size of it! I'm not sure quite what I was expecting, but the train is MUCH bigger than I'd anticipated, the wee post office building is large (and has an opening door from what I can see) and even the toy animals/people look substantial.

i bought this for z for xmas and it is only worth the 20 i paid. the track is good and so are all the bits but unless i am being a complete numpty the train does not actually move by itself. it only make noises and says phrases. i expected the train to move!

I agree with last poster, its down to personal preferance.
I like to go through the boots thread but alos wish some of the greater bargains were posted on thier own thread as dont always have time to trawl through. But it also makes sense to merge where possible.
I do think your replies are coming across as a little defensive :o. Maybe just sticking to the reason of this thread, ie -posting deals for Argos, rather than commenting or replying on other issues will keep the thread interesting! ;)

    My argos bargain -

If you try the web site called offer of the day . co . uk (you will need to take the spaces out from between the words)
You can search for the biggest reductions
and chose Argos as a search ..Some of the items (Terrys Oranges) are out of date but it does have a pretty comprehensive list ..Looks like lots of Christmas decorations are heavily reduced today
