This is a bit of a reduction but does not sell at that price....£80 tops and was £34 in comet 2 weeks ago. I feel that they ar inflating their 'was' prices somewhat.
That was a great price!
Now £87.99 in Comet.

I saw this and thought about buying it and putting it away untill my son is a few years older, but after a quick serch most places are selling it between £60-70 so not such a bargan as argos suggest.mobby-2554 wrote: »Hornby Thomas and Friends Train Set Less Than Half Price £49.99 was £139.99
Includes Thomas, Annie and Clarabel and assorted freight wagons, lots of track and Thomas Trak mat.

I'm only posting Argos latest price reductions!
Which I thought were good.
I don't know the price other places are selling this at!0 -

What's with the attitude?!
I for one think it's pretty useful if people state that something isn't the bargain it's made out to be, lots of places inflate the 'before' price so it makes it look a brilliant deal, it's no personal dig at you :rolleyes:0 -

I don't know what you mean by Attitude?
I was only saying, I'm only trying to show Argos latest price reductions!
I don't know what prices they go for in other shops?0 -
Why is it threads like this works for this one
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1075311
But not the one I'm trying to do for Argos?
I'm not doing it for people to thank me.
Just think it makes sense to combine any bargains on a thread to one shop!0 -
While i like this thread, and will keep reading it, i don't see a problem with certain deals being posted in their own thread. Lots of people, me included like to scan the front forum pages and i for one don't bother looking in the thread you linked to.
If it's a deal that is exceptional and will be of interest to many people, it should have its own thread, whether it is in here too, or not.
I did say earlier that the guides should probably merge them, but i have to agree with the following posters that some deals are better spotted on the front page...0 -

Can't we just do it anyway we want to. Some people prefer a single thread and some people like seeing the items they are interested in on the list throughout the Grabbit board.
Just down to personal preference I suppose! It's Christmas, season of goodwill etc ......;)0 -
I agree with last poster, its down to personal preferance.
I like to go through the boots thread but alos wish some of the greater bargains were posted on thier own thread as dont always have time to trawl through. But it also makes sense to merge where possible.
I do think your replies are coming across as a little defensive. Maybe just sticking to the reason of this thread, ie -posting deals for Argos, rather than commenting or replying on other issues will keep the thread interesting!
