I like to go through the boots thread but alos wish some of the greater bargains were posted on thier own thread as dont always have time to trawl through. But it also makes sense to merge where possible.
I do think your replies are coming across as a little defensive. Maybe just sticking to the reason of this thread, ie -posting deals for Argos, rather than commenting or replying on other issues will keep the thread interesting!

My mum has had her panasonic quads for about 4 years now and still going strong!!
Mine is BT and absolute carp! Only had it for about 14 months, batteries replaced after 9 months and now its just dead, no screen at all and as its the base unit its rendered useless!!0 -
Thanks for this. I was looking at the BT Graphite one because it has an answering machine, but after what you have said I'm not sure now. Decisions, decisions.0

Mine has an answering machine, alarm, it's compatable with caller id etc etc. I'll try & find it..or something similar.
Edit:  *Tries to quietly back out of thread* I've just seen the prices!!!! I paid nothing like that.
I actually got mine from Tesco's but they seem out of stock at the moment. It may be worth trying the email me option to see if they come back in.
On second thoughts, I've just tried amazon.
Here is one option for a twin with answering machine for £36

Also have a triple with answering machine for £430 -

Thanks very much. I am clueless with technology (and yep, for me, phones even count in this!). The Panasonic ones on Amazon look good, checking those out now and they seem like a good price for having the answerphone too. Also good to know the BT Graphite are decent too. Thanks. More to think about!0

Update: I have this now and have used it numerous times since we bought it. It's great! Really, really simple to use, easy to clean and not very noisy. The 'basic' setting takes 3 hours for a 1.5lb loaf, 3 hours 10 minutes for a 2lb loaf. I'm really impressed with this product and I think it's a great bargain!"...Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate,

I've got this now, and while I've not built it up yet, I'm impressed & surprised by the size of it! I'm not sure quite what I was expecting, but the train is MUCH bigger than I'd anticipated, the wee post office building is large (and has an opening door from what I can see) and even the toy animals/people look substantial."...Our greatest fear is not that we are inadequate,
