Worst transfer ever!
Hey all!
Hello. I've got a serious problem. You may to read this a few times to understand the problem.
I used to have two phones (Work and Personal) and no longer needed my personal number as everyone calls me on my works phone so I transfered my personal number to Three. I ordered myself a new pay as you go phone from the 3Store online and once it had arrived I decided to give Three a call and transfer my number. I decided to move to Three as I had the excellent Flat12 tariff with the ability to stretch my credit in to minutes and texts.
I rang up Three a few times the day of my transfer and the day after as it seems the transfer had not completed but it had. I transfered my number to the SIM in the box of my new phone which of course was on the new 3Pay tariff which is not a good tariff for what I use my phone for.
I called Three to see if I could move the the Flat12 tariff and they said NO. I rang a few times explaining what had happened and was told different stories such as they would transfer my number to my old SIM and then they said they couldnt. After all this hassle I when to get my PAC code from Three and gave my PAC to O2.
The day after I gave O2 my PAC code my Three number was transfered onto my old SIM with the Flat12 tariff. I rang up O2 and told them to cancel the port request (and they told me this had been done), O2 advised me to ring Three and tell them to cancel the PAC to ensure the port didnt process and so I did.
The day after my number transfers to O2. I was rather annoyed that this had happened but just left it as I couldnt be bothered with the hassle. I later find that my number is active on Three and O2.
After a while I notice that I can make calls from my Three phone and my O2 phone but the same number appears yet no one can call or text me on my number as it seems neither network is sure where my number is.
I ring up O2 to try and get my PAC and they say... they cant generate one as there is a active PAC code (and all networks seem to use the same system). This active PAC code is from Three. I just wanted my number back so I decided I didn't care anymore and tried to re-join Vodafone and they said that the PAC code can't be used.
I have rang Three to see if they can cancel the PAC code and they said it isn't active.
Not am I not without a phone, I'm without work and the cost of replacing all my materials with a new number such as flyers, stationary ect.
All this hassle... I'll never port again...
Any advice ?

Get in touch with three, inform them their is a problem. You are able to call and text, but you cannot receive any calls or texts, this has happened since the PAC transfer. 02 don't have the number, but three do. Hopefully there internal texts should show up a problem, one they can chase and fix.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0
