    Ok had a BBQ first time and was too busy (drinking) to clean it sat night to tried sunday and about 80% off it came off any tips? Will soda cystals work? And where do i buy them from?

    I've not tried soda crystals on this myself - but have tried them on oven liners and they are fab. You'll find them on the cleaning isle of supermarkets (where exactly seems to vary store to store). Mine were in a white plastic bag with mostly blueish pictures. Follow the link for a picture of them (easier to find when you know what they look like!)

    I do much the same thing as the people who use paper towels, but use a damp/wet facecloth* (I keep some specially for the purpose) placed on the turned off grill. by the time you've eaten, the coarse texture of the towelling wipes any residue away easily & the cloth gets a rinse then goes in the washing machine for re-using
