and DP replied that he would send it on monday by recorded delivery:)
so far so good:).
So far so good indeed, however...I refer to my post above, don't forget the following
send a letter, (by recorded delivery only), with each payment that you make, to the effect that the payment is specifically made to support your child (ren).
edit...You should also name the child (ren) that the payment is for.
edit...The letter has to state that the money is for child maintenance and it must also stipulate for what period
and
Postal orders will suffice provided that you keep the stub, DO NOT LOSE THEM!
Ensure that it has the correct name in the payee section.
Ensure that you cross the order or make sure that it is crossed when you buy it.
If you don't cross it then it can be cashed and is much more difficult to trace in the future.
Dont forget to send a letter with the postal order as I have specified above
To save time and effort on your part in the future I would draw up a standard letter leaving the date and the period the payment is for blank. You could then fill these blanks in by hand every time that you make a payment. Save it to your pc and then it should be to hand when you need it.
You will no doubt end up with a large paper file (mine is massive) but it is worth the time and effort in the end.
If you follow all the above you should have no problem in proving that you have made child support payments should the need arise.0 -

Grrrrrrr
Im gonna Rant now......
Im gonna take legal advice too....
Ex texted DP asking for the money now.....he said no it was being sent recorded delivery and crossed postal order....
She texted back saying I told a summons officer today that DP didnt live here, and there was a court date set for today regarding contact......Absolute lies....Im fuming as I have been at home all day, DP with me until 2.30 when he got a call from his DS asking to collect him from town....DP asked me if anyone called and obviously there was no one...
This is not the first time she has lied about me........she told DP once that she heard me quite openly talking about their son being autistic...I have 2 kids with autism and would never talk about her son in the manner that I was accused off.....
Now she is saying that she hasnt stopped contact......that now DPs son knows what DP is like!!!!Baby no 5 due 10th Feb 2010Not very MSE:money:still dont know how it happened

I would be laughing at the summons officer quote - your DP would know in advance if there was any chance of being summoned today. In fact I would probably reply myself to educate her a little.
For stopping contact, I suppose she is using the fact that DS phoned today?
Personally I would not have paid her anything, but what is done is done.0 -
Im going to see a solicitor tomorrow.......She is just being nasty and oh she is a horrible woman......
I am so angry im so close to tears....I mean if she is texting DP with that what is she saying to his son?
She talks about me constantly....and I know people are beginning to realise that its lies as the eldest son lives with us, but its getting beyond a joke now!!Baby no 5 due 10th Feb 2010Not very MSE:money:still dont know how it happened

I just find her funny because her story doesn't stack up - there's more hole in it than a sponge. If I can see that, so can others including her nearest family/friends (although they will be slower). I can also understand how you feel intimidated and I don't blame you for seeing a solicitor.0
