Oh dear, I'm on O2 and can't change networks. Hope my local phone shop will do it.
  • don't worry, its not that difficult to unlock these. If your local phone shope can't do it or is wanting more than about £10 look on ebay. £7.99 + the cost of posting them the phone on there, so its not so expensive.

I seem to recall virgin unlock the handset free of charge once you have spent £30 with them (that includes the free vouchers they give you)

You only have to speak to their customer services and ask :)

will a virgin sim work in this phone without unlocking as they use t mobiles reception

Bought a reconditioned L6 from Virgin mobile about 2 weeks ago for £29, according to the Virgin Mobile website they have none in stock but if you give customer services a ring then they are available.

Phone arrived a little while ago. Looks very trendy and is nice and sleek. 12yr old should love it!
    Thanks to OP!

    cheers
    Jules :)
  • Phone arrived, it is a refurb, but came with box and all accessories i can c.

Its charging from a v3 charger no problems, its working with a virgin sim no probs.

Only negative is the tmob branding on the back and on the phone itself, but thats fine considering its such a nice phone for the money.

Mine's arrived too - charging at the moment and will take it down to the phone shop for unlocking later. Looks like a nice phone.
