Have you setup WPA encryption by putting in a long key

Not sure if that is what you meant by password, as you should change the default router password as well.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
I have had a look at the Wpa but it seems to be generating random non crackable passswords already ( I hope!) but it is set as WEP, does that make a difference and is it ok to leave it like that?Stopped smoking Jan 2007 after 23 years!Cigarettes NOT smoked = 240,945Smoke free days = 11 Years :TCash saved so far = £125,45,110

You should really change from WEP to WPA encryption as WEP can be defeated. Go to the site posted by albertross https://www.grc.com/passwords.htm and cut and paste a 64 character HEX string into your router and the PC's that you wish to have access.

I have had a look at the wpa and it has two options, wpa preshared and wpa radius, which one do I use?
I will be hooking up two other computers via wireless cards.

Wpa-psk (pre shared key) / tkip.
(The radius server option is more secure, but needs more kit to work. It's beyond the means of most home users)
This is an example of a secure 63 character key
