Someone got busted for fraud for selling computers on Ebay and then trying to win them once they were paid for.
So how'd that work then unless they were selling computers, claiming INR on older ones or SNAD and replacing them with an older model, then selling them on?. Not many people on eBay would buy a PC, then resell it if they were primarily a buyer0 -

Nope, not in those words. But if someone states this:He doesn't say he was going BACK HOME to Africa...
It does have a tendency to set some alarm bells ringing....i have had a personal tragedy back home and i am trying to raise as much cash as posible as i am off to africa in the new year
Also, how do you know the receipt is still valid? They could have gone to Halfords, bought bike with credit card, come home, take picture of receipt, then go back to Halfords saying they've changed their mind and can they have a refund.0 -
I would stay well away from this, anyone see this scenario...
Receipt found on floor, list on e-bay, make £800, never seen again.0 -
Besides, it's for a hybrid, you want to get a proper bike

Halfords would easily refund this item. It isn't built to order and the buyer(seller) doesn't have it home with him yet. Also if he needed to he could make a claim with his CC to say he had to cancel the order. Not to mention if I needed cash to get to Africa and I had a credit card I am pretty sure I could by flights and use one of the millions of mastercard outlets around the world and withdraw cash from it too. I for one have reported it as a fraudulent listing.New PV club member. 3.99kW system. Solar Edge with 14 x 285W JA Solar panels. 55° West from south and 35° pitch.0

This guy simply says that they are going to collect is(as seen in the q&a's) This does not mean you will get just the receipt, but I take it simply to mean he hasnt collected it yet and will then collect it and send it on to the winning buyer.0

Lets be realistic here, is Halfords likely to get a delivery on the 27th of december for this to suddenly be in stock? I doubt it.
Also with the holidays the transfer from paypal to the sellers account won't really be any faster between the 22nd to the 27th. Why not just set the listing to finish on the 25/26th and then not mention the item being at halfords?
All academic tbh, I still smell a con.New PV club member. 3.99kW system. Solar Edge with 14 x 285W JA Solar panels. 55° West from south and 35° pitch.0 -
