what are my rights with sky?? please help

Need some help, im seriously fed up with sky who in one month took a total of £240 out of my bank account bearing in mind i should only pay £37 per month,i rang them up and they admitted they was wrong and said that instead of giving me the money back i can have 2 months free so i agreed, but the next month i got a bill for £92 again i rang up and they said they will refund me £87 it was like they were doing me a favour now they have sent me another bill for £52!! this time i asked to speak to a manager twice, he never rang back!! so i rang again i then was put through to a complaints manager who basically told me i need to pay it or my services will be cut off and the £240 was justified, ive told him im not happy and ive been messed about and i want a inventory of what ive been charged for and the tape of the man who said i can have the next couple of months free, he said he cant do that coz the adviser has rights, my reply was don't i. :confused:

  • You ahve rights to any notes and calls that you have made, they may charge you, normally £10 but they have to produce for dpa. Did they say what the £240 was for?

    Whenever you call Sky,ask the person you're speaking to for their Chordiant ID.Everyone has one,even managers.
  • hi there yes they said it was due to a charge for my multi room box which im suppose to have plugged in, but when the tv cable man who sky hired to plugg it into my telephone line he never. He said it is to complicated and said i can do it myself but didnt understand it, so i rang up and said this and then cancelled my upstairs box in the august which apparently they have no record of, and then in the september they charged me £72 and then £138 in the october they are saing i only cancelled the upstairs box on the 21st sept which is crap because i rang them up then to tell them why my upstairs box was still getting all the channels.

    Do you have the install invoice from when it was done? Also if Sky was'nt getting the ringbacks from your ST Boxes,they should've sent you at least 3 warning letters advising you that you'd be charged full price for the other boxes.
    If you did'nt get them,Sky's SMS,Chordiant will show what correspondance has been sent to you & when.Ask for copies of these.
