My parents have an octagonal smoked-glass dining table, which is the everyday one for the kitchen. They've had that for around twenty-five years now, and it still looks great. The glass top is actually just a shaped sheet of glass on a pedestal-type base; can't say that it ever looks dusty or ill-used, but it's not surprising it's not dusty as it's used constantly. I dread to think of how I used that table as a kid, but it's actually borne up better than I would have expected of the equivalent wood table!

I'm intolerant of wheat, citrus, grapes, grape products and dried vine fruits, tomato, and beetroot, and I am also somewhat caffeine sensitive.
