With O2 after 9 months you can lower the price of an 18 month contract.

My contract with Orange is for 24 months, when can I lower the price as it doesn't say on the contract.

Last time I was told by some1 who works for orange that after halfway of the contract you can lower the tariff by 1 grade,5 quid, every month till the lowest grade. some network will only allow one-time downgrade before the contract ends. you can also call them to try your luck if you wish to go further.

Bear in mind you can probably only move it to an iphone type contract there may be limited steps you can make.
