Im on AOL and saw their offer of a free wireless router so phoned to ask for one but was given the infuriating reply that they are for new customers only !
This was like a red rag to a bull and so i got straight onto customer services, i was quite prepared to close my account but they were really helpful and i got the router and a free months subscription.WHOOOOSHHHHHHHHH……..
Blimey what was that ?
That was your life mate
Oh I wasn’t quite ready can I have another go ?
Sorry mate only one per person.0 -
Hi
Looking for a deal that includes a FREE WIRELESS ROUTER. Hopefully with the fastest connection and high usage limits (I know, I don't want much!).
Anyway, only seen the AOL deal at the moment - Any others?
Thanks0 -
getting a free router isn't always the deal you think. You may well be paying more for your broadband and getting tied into a longer contract. Have you considered that you can get a fairly good ADSL wireless router for around £50 anyway?0

The AOL deal of free wireless router didn't sound to bad? Why pay for it when you can get one for free?0

Hi there! After seeing an offer from AOL to switch to wireless for FREE changing my monthly fee from £17.99 to £14.99 I phoned them on Monday and recieved my wireless box today.
One problem though! The dongle (I think thants what you call it!) that I have isn't compatable with the AOL wireless box. After calling them they told me I would have to purchase one from them costing £30, I said no way. They told me that even though I wasn't able to use the wireless connection they had no way of checking therfore I have now reduced my payments from £17.99 to £14.99 a month. Okay I'm not wireless but I've reduced my monthly broadband payment by £3.0 -

Give full details (make/model) of the router supplied and your "dongle" and we may be able to help sort you out.
