Good old Halifax mess it up again! I have recently took on Halifax CC for a friend of ours - they were charging him for being over his limit - but they were the ones that reducing his limit and then adding fees on after, which took him over the limit again!!! Anyway, we successfully got all these fees back, which resulted in him being £300 in credit on his card and them then paying out this money back to him.

When his next statement came through, they had charged him for not making a payment. I rang and asked them how they could do this and they had the cheek to say 'any payments we make do not count'!!!!!

Needless to say, I told them that this was not acceptable as the account was a zero balance 6 days before payment was due. The bloke eventually said 'as a goodwill gesture' they would cancel the latest charge - gee thanks.

Anyway, the account was also cancelled the same day!

Looks like they will try any old trick to get late payment fees out of people. I wish I could cancel mine but need to use it for work. Will be keeping my eye on them for sure!

Can someone translate this into English please? Makes no sense.

God, the OP made a mistake in how he wrote his/her first post. There's no need to jump down his/her throat for it!

    Honestly!

Suspention? Didn't make sense and neither did your post. If they didn't get the money then you broke the T&Cs. If you're saying they didn't get the money because of their fault then that's not your fault obviously.

    Obviously.

I had no trouble at all understanding his post. Maybe you need new glasses or a more open mind? Of course the bank can NEVER be wrong can it.

Thankfully she'll have set up a DD for minimum payments to cover that, allowing her to make additional payments once the bill arrives.

By the look of that, I think you need to go back to 'SKOOL' or cut out the booze.
