Can anyone explain why.......?

There appear to be a number of people on the site who spend a great deal of time responding to peoples thread with cheap, snide remarks.
I read the threads because I (through my own fault in the main) have racked up thousands in charges and would love to get something back.
I have absolutely no problem with people stating their point of view, after all that's what the site is all about. The fact is these people in effect say nothing of use but insist on their 'little dig'. I sincerely applaud these people for not getting into the mire like myself I only wish I had as much sense, but to continually mock people who's position they haven't got a clue about is, to say the least out of order.
There are hundreds of threads on MSE that I have no interest in but I have neither the time nor the inclination to join threads in order to simply take the pee.
In contrast there are some people answering threads on the claiming front that are obviously A1 on the old finances front yet are prepared to assist those who are not as much as they can. These people probably find the 'usual suspects' as annoying as I do.
Hopefully our superior finance people will have plenty of time to post over the Christmas period as my suspicion is that in the main they are lonely and sad.

Good post.
I think there are a few people with similar sentiments. It is sometimes a battle to continue with this site due to this particular problem. I wish those type of folk would simply not post.
If people need help, please let them get it without the !!!!!y or snide, smart alec comments.
Unfortunately, that won't happen though, which is a pity. Please ignore those people who post on this forum who deliberately try to misinform you. Don't be bullied by them, don't be blamed by them. You know who I mean.
You come here for advice, help and support- thats what I and like minded others will try to do.0 -
I totally agree..0

Human nature, unfortunately. You will always get the dross who get a kick from bigging themselves up in front of their imaginary cyber-friends - largely because they probably don't have many friends in real life.
Good post - and thoughts that are echoed by many of us who come on here to get advice from the majority of excellent posters on here ;-)Pounds, shillings and pence; I caught a dirty wench, I gave a cough, her leg fell off, pounds shillings and pence :rotfl:

I personally think its the case that some people enjoy thinking they are better than others if thats how they get their kicks being the big i am behind a font then carry on i say ..may groc challenge £167/£280...0

I completely agree. They act like everyone got into this situation the same way e.g. spending without a care in the world and getting charged as a result, instead of desperate people trying to make ends meet, people who are usually on top of their finances getting knocked down by one charge, etc.0

I would just like to say to these people who like to post nasty comments, please do not look down on other people as it could happen to you anytime, two years ago I had no problems at all, great job, great lifestyle and plenty of money.
Then things changed, through no fault of my own I found myself in a awful situation where I lost almost everything.
I never thought that this could happen to me but it did,and it can happen to someone else just as quick,so please dont be nasty, dont judge and try, just try and see that a kind word will go a long way not another knock down because thats the last thing anyone needs.:jI am a M.S.E. addict and proud of it.:j0 -
Hope things are working out for you now Lynda.
No-one knows what is around the corner as life is full of twists and turns.
The world would be a much better place if people did someone something nice for someone and expected nothing in return. Its amazing the knock on effect it has!;)
It's important to remember that the folk we are talking about are in the minority, best to try and ignore them as they are soon sussed out. As someone else said earlier, there are far more helpful posters giving excellent and welcome advice which is very laudable. Please ignore those people who post on this forum who deliberately try to misinform you. Don't be bullied by them, don't be blamed by them. You know who I mean.

They are out in force today.
Happy Christmas to all you sensible people who have always managed their finances well.
By the way have you seen the TV listings for Christmas?
Load of Dross so you'll probably better looking at your bank books for the evening. Fortunately I will be spending time with friends and family, so no real need for the tele.
Happy Christmas to one and all.

"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
Here here, I have reconsidered posting many times as you don't know what reaction you will get from certain individuals on certain boards.0
