Hi all. I'm really hoping you guys can help me find the best deal for my daughter. I currently have a contract (in my name) for my teenage daughter. It was 18months with Orange at £30pm  reduced to £25 websaver (or something) She gets 400 minutes (uses about 150 max) and unlimited texts (can use up to 1000 :eek:) The contract is now up and I'd like to get the best deal possible but I'm struggling to work out what that is, bearing in mind all the different tarrifs out there.

I'd like to keep the unlimited texts (or at least have a very large txt bundle) She'd like to have unlimited mobile internet (yes I know :o) but actual call time is likely to remain low. The phone she'd really like to have is the Samsung Tocco lite & I'd like the monthly payments to remain £25 or less

Looking at Orange they don't seem to do much in the mobile internet stakes & they don't have the Samsung Tocco Lite available on a contract

I've no worries about changing provider I'm just looking for the best deal. I will consider PAYG if the overall deal is better.

Any ideas?
Thanks to all who post comps :A :T

If you do change provider, get a PAYG first to ensure you are happy with the signal you receive first before signing a contract.

    Orange Dolphin 40
£350 automatic cashback (so no redemption which is good)
    24 months,
    1200 mins,
    unlimited texts (3000)
    unlimited internet (500mb)
    free tocca lite
£40 a month, but with £350 cashback it is ~£25

Also consider the fact a tocca lite is only £70. If you buy from orange directly for just the phone via quidco (£12 cashback) the phone only costs £58.

You could then search for a sim only contract 1/12/18/24 month contract that suits your needs the best.

Both This and the PAYG option look good, Thanks. Do you think it is worth pushing Orange to offer me the same deal (or similar) through retentions??

Am in Greater London so most provider's signals are excellent in my area. Good advice though, Thanks.

By all means try orange retentions, experiences with them differ so all you can do is try :) If the contract is now up, you could give 30 days notice to cancel OR request and use the PAC code. What you can do is request your PAC code and see if orange retentions calls you with 2 weeks to see if they can offer anything decent. Ask for the offer in writing even if its only to your email address so you can see all the terms.

If they don't ring you, call 150 for CS and asked for upgrades department. Mention you are at the end and have a PAC code so are considering to leave. You have however seen this deal for the orange contract and are interested in it. Just see what they have to say.

If they say no, cancel the PAC and requested cancellation of the contract. Then take out the other contract/PAYG.

If you want to keep the number you need to request a PAC code. If you want to stay with orange but take out a new contract not via orange, then you have to use the PAC to tranfer to a PAYG on another operator first, then place the order with orange with a PAC code from the PAYG. Long process but you can't PAC your number on the same network, it stops existing customers getting new customer deals.
