Check what is covered by your house insurance as some cover drains. Also some offer good rates to have pipework etc covered aswell

    Agree with hwalkerh

Try your home insurer, you can get home emergency cover for plumbing, electrics, locks and heating for approx £40pa. External Drains/supply pipes are sometimes covered

Halifax Rewards Ultimate has it as part of its bundle along with travel and motor breakdown cover. £12.50 reducing to £7.50 if you pay in £1000 and get a £5 cashback. Other bank accounts have it too.

Just check the claim limits cover your needs on these products, being "emergency" types, they can be short of what is required for a full repair.
