Not quite true. You need to have a C&G in Motor Mechanics or otherwise work in the motor trade.

Unfortunately dont live in lincoln area, but will be there over new year visiting inlaws.
And dont have means to get a trade card.
Seems costco may do car batteries, so will ask around if anyone will be visiting.
Found this info so costco look best value. Our nearest one is Thurrock.
