BT Reps on this site

I wasn't sure where to post this, so figured a new thread is as good as anywhere.

I posted 10 days ago on behalf of my sister who is having major problems with her BT Home Hub - i.e. NO INTERNET CONNECTION.

I received a reply from a BT Rep who asked me to email details to the BT Care address. I haven't recieved an acknowledgement of the email and the BT Rep hasn't contacted my sister about her total lack of internet connection. Is this normal (as in the usual BT fob off/run around)? Has anyone here actually had one of the mythical Reps sort their BT related problem out?

I gotta say I'm really disappointed, and if no reply by 18th Dec it's an OFCOM complaint.

    Hi Celtic Harridan,

    I'm sorry to learn of the problems your Sister has been having with her Broadband service. I have been trying to contact your Sister on a few occasions to help diagnose the problem but have been unable to reach her. I've left voicemail messages on her answering service advising that I would try to call again at a later stage.

    I will keep trying to call until I get to speak with your Sister as I can appreciate how inconvenient it can be having no access to the Internet.

  • I'd just like to thank the BT Care Team in Northern Ireland for everything they've done to help my sister. As well as now having internet access, her monthly tariff is reduced and all those months of paying for a service she hadn't received have been wiped clean (along with an erroneous £125 engineer's bill).
