    Reinstall IE???

Yup, think that's a fine idea, but get IE7 rather than 8.

BUT before you do that, quick malware check:-

download latest version, install, update and full scan, delete all it finds and post the log.

Then HiJack This, as above but just run scan and post the log, DO NOT try and fix anything without advice:-

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D
  • Hi all,

Still got the same problem. I have tried to remove IE 8 using Control Panel Uninstall etc, but the computer re-boots and I get the messgae your computer has recovered from a serious error. Please tell microsoft etc.

    IE 8 remains there.

I am now on Firefox and this is working fine, but I don't know what is wrong with IE?

    Thanks everyone who replied

Have you tried just reinstalling IE8 (without uninstalling first), just download and install it.
  • I've given up with IE.

I have downloaded Opera and it works great and I have Firefox as a backup as well.
