Problem Connecting to Internet

Can anyone help?

Everytime I try to connect to the Web via Internet Explorer I get the message

Your last browsing session closed unexpectedly.
Would you like to restore your last session or go to your homepage?

Before I can answer I then get "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close We are sorry for any inconvenience etc".

Can anyone please help?

  • I haven't encountered this before, maybe a system roll back will help? Just guessing.
Try saying "I have under-a-pound in my wallet" and listen to people react!
  • Hi Taffybiker,

Just tried that and it's still the same.

    Anyone?

Maybe an add-on conflict? Try opening IE with add-ons disabled.
Click on Start, then in the Run or Search box type -
    iexplore.exe -extoff

    heres a workaround,

Go to Tools, Internet Options, Advanced.

Under Browsing, the very first box (Automatically recover from page layout erros with Compatibility View) should be blank. If there is a check in the box, uncheck it.
Next, also under Browsing, you will see Enable Automatic Crash Recovery. Uncheck that box.

I try and find a fix for you, and you may want to download other browsers like firefox or chrome.

    Thanks.

When I go into IE the page freezes and I cant get to Tools etc. I have Firefox and that works okay.

As soon as I log on IE before Google loads up I get the "Your last session etc" and the computer locks.
