Viewing files through the Router

Can someone please help me?

I have my desktop running XP Pro with a Zoom router attached - my laptops are attached wirelessly.

I can use my laptops and see and amend files on my desktop but when I use the desktop I can not see or transfer files to my laptop.

All the computers are set to Workgroup and I have shared the files

This has worked in the past and wonder if something has changed itself.

when I do that I get the run box - what should I see -how do I do it?

Type in \\ The laptops IP address

e.g \\192.168.0.2

i'd bet on it being that as well since other machines can use smb to transfer files

Whats SMB gotta do with anything he didn't mention that anywhere.

its the protocol that's used to transfer files from one windows/unix box to another over a network

It said the network path could not be found

note the bit on this page that says

SMB is the native sharing protocol for Microsoft Windows operating systems, but it may be offered by other computers.
