How do Sky get away with it?

i took this offer out now this is gong to sting me as well thanks for the info.Sky offered me a special deal of a movie package for £5.00 a month, for 2 months......
When I rang up to cancel they told me it has a 31 day cancellation notice & will have to run another month.....
When I took up the offer I asked the Sky adviser if I needed to ring to cancel if i didn't want to carry on with the movie channels. He didn't tell me i needed to ring 31 days before. I also asked him, if I rang on the last day would there be only £10.00 to pay & he said yes.... I really did interrogate him because they have stung me before..... I have told them I want to cancel the whole Sky subscription but they won't have it & are running it another month.
If refuse to pay any more will they put me on the bad credit list?0
