Virgin Media - Can I get a better deal.

Hi, been a Virgin Media customer for years. I was signed into a contract (after negotiating a better deal a year back) which has now just ended.

I'm gonna be honest in that I like the service and don't want to leave, but I reckon Sky is cheaper.

Here is details of my most recent bill, but I guess I should say that I have one flatmate who pays for the sports package and another flatmate that pays for the phone 200 minutes and any extra call charges.

I am gonna call tomorrow and threaten to switch to Sky but wondered how others had got on for this and what is reasonable to expect?

Make sure you have the Sky quote ready.They seem to know all their deals.Don't forget the BT line rental and installation if you have'nt already got it.I am satisfied with Virgin.Got telephone line,TV,Broadband and V+ all for £30. Rang up and this is what the very nice chap suggested no hastle.Always been satisfied with the service. All the best

Well I called them up and had a long chat with a friendly guy called Mark. In a nutshell he was unable to completely price match Sky. By taking off some services that I don't really use, hw was able to bring the price down but it is still £5.00 more than Sky. He did mention that it's difficult to price match exactly as it's not a like for like service as the Virgin Broadband is superior to Sky's. Oh, I also managed to get a free wireless router out of him so it was worth a call. He said there m,ay be better deals coming out in January.
